About





Brent Ehmke has extensive experience in the Fire Protection industry including 25 years as the President – General Manager of leading fire detection and suppression companies. He has a breadth of knowledge of the markets, applications, products and companies, which operate in this industry. Brent started his career as a product development engineer at Ansul. Through his career, he has held positions in R&D, manufacturing, applications engineering, product management, marketing and general management. He retired as President of Kidde Technologies, Inc., a part of Raytheon Technologies. In 2012 he formed Ehmke Associates to provide consulting services in his area of expertise.


He has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and an MBA from the University of Dayton. Brent is a registered professional engineer in Wisconsin and Texas.


Brent serves as the Chairman of the NFPA Technical Committee for the Standard on Gaseous Extinguishing Agents, NFPA 12 Carbon Dioxide Systems, 12A Halon 1301 Systems and 2001 Clean Agent Systems. He also serves as a principal member of NFPA 770, Standard for Hybrid Extinguishing Systems. He is members of the National Fire Protection Association and the Society of Fire Protection Engineers.
